Local Artist Finder
A location-based platform for discovering local artists through place, not algorithms.
Local artists often rely on social media to share their work, but discovery on those platforms is driven by algorithms rather than geography. As a result, artists, events, and exhibitions can be difficult to find, even within a user’s own community.
Local Artist Finder was designed as a location-based platform that helps users discover nearby artists through maps, profiles, and events. The project focused on creating a simple, user-centered experience that makes local art more visible and accessible.
Role + Scope
I led the product design process from research through final prototype, defining user flows, creating wireframes, conducting usability testing, and designing the final mobile experience.

Research revealed that local artist discovery was often fragmented across social media and gallery platforms, creating opportunities to improve visibility, accessibility, and location-based exploration.

User journeys and task flows were mapped to define the structure of the experience and identify the most efficient paths to artist discovery.
